When looking at the number of pageviews used to compute the heatmap and clickmap for a given page, you may have noticed that Nelio reports two different numbers. For instance, a heatmap may be created based on the information of 750 pageviews while a clickmap for the same page may be created based on 450 pageviews.

The reason is that all visits to the page are monitored to create a heatmap regardless whether they click or not on an element in that page. Instead, when computing a clickmap, we only count those visits that actually click. That’s why the number of reported pageviews for clickmaps is lower.
