Several factors affect the way your website visitors are tracked by Nelio A/B Testing. The following are some probable reasons for the discrepancy in the visitor count between our plugin and other Analytics tools (such as, for instance, Google Analytics):
- You limited the percentage of users that may participate in your experiments. Therefore, some of the users tracked by your Analytics tool are not included in Nelio.
- You group experiments and divide visitors into groups, which means that some of your visitors can be excluded from some of your experiments.
- Your Analytics tool kicks in before Nelio A/B Testing, thus counting page views for the control page and the proper alternative.
- You're comparing "page views" with "visitors".
